Founded thirty years ago by the Naccarato's, distant cousins of the current owners, Mamma Mia's quickly became well loved in the Spokane area. Since purchasing Mamma Mia's in 2004, owners Jerry and Ginny Amicarella have succeeded in incorporating all the elements of a true Italian Ristorante.
Proud of his Italian heritage, Jerry is passionate about sharing family recipes passed down through generations. Just good comfort food, cooked like his “Nonnie” used to make it. Involved in every aspect of the business, Jerry is a true hands on owner, often stopping by tables personally to ensure everything is perfect. Jerry loves to cook for people and owning a restaurant fulfills a lifetime dream. In his own words “This work is what I was meant to do; feed, entertain, and serve people. Absolutely loved this place! I think the arancini was only for restaurant week which is unfortunate because they were to die for (please add it to the menu). I also had the ravioli with Alfredo sauce and it might be my new favorite place to get pasta. Tiramisu has always been a hit or miss for me; some places make it with way too much espresso and it completely overpowers the rest of the dish but not here. Their tiramisu was perfection. Will be back
I love this place. I love the staff they are sooo personable. Yummy food. Me and my husband love to date here just because it's such a relaxing atmosphere. Also came here with a large group for my birthday and still had excellent service.
My family and I have been here many times. We had my daughter’s birthday here last year. She LOVES getting spaghetti and the chocolate torte. Husband and I came back here again tonight for a little date, and we were talking about how much we love the place. We think it is the best Italian restaurant in town, and we’ve tried other places. The food is super good! There’s a big difference.
Tonight, I had the Marsala Ravioli. Oh man. It was so perfect for a cold wintery night. VERY creamy. Perfect texture. Very good flavor. I really enjoy the minestrone soup and the bread too. They hit the spot for me every time. Husband had the lasagna, and it was after his first couple bites that HE brought up how much he loves this place. So good.
And they take really good care of us here. Some of the waitresses remember us and remember what we like to order. It’s really sweet. They take good care of us.
