About

Isaac Houger’s passion for cooking started at a very young age, growing up on a small wheat and cattle farm. Isaac’s mother was a big inspiration in his evolution as a cook. The two spent many hours together in the kitchen experimenting with flavors and ingredients to create a multitude of their own recipes that Isaac still uses to this day. The experiences and knowledge gained from their time together led to Spokane’s food scene, where he would learn and share ideas from and with many local chefs and cooks.

Isaac’s inspiration for opening a pizzeria came about during a high school trip to New York City. The simplicity and fast-paced world of pizza he observed during that trip sparked the idea for his latest venture: Providing the Inland Northwest with a delicious, New York inspired pizza. He’s finally achieved his dream, years later, teaming up with Black Label Brewing Company to open his first business… Peace Pie Pizzeria! Peace Pie strives to provide Spokane with a new approach to the tradition… “Classics made with quality”

Everything is made in house from scratch. One of the best NY style slices you can get in town. Killer breakfast sandos (they use a garlic knot for the bun!) ridiculously huge calzones, and delicious sandwiches.

As an out-of-state visitor, I had the pleasure of joining friends who couldn't stop raving about this pizzeria, claiming it bore a striking resemblance to our cherished hometown favorite. We decided to go all out, ordering two colossal 22-inch pies adorned with the mouthwatering allure of pepperoni and an extra layer of super delectable ricotta. A pro tip: remember to request parmesan cheese when placing your order for that added burst of flavor.

Our visit didn't stop at the pizza; we also ventured to the bar, where we were met with a diverse selection of beers to choose from. While the brews we sampled were quite decent, it was the overall experience that truly delighted us.

To add a magical touch to our dining adventure, the restaurant was adorned with captivating Harry Potter-themed decorations, making it a dream come true for fans. Without a doubt, this has become my favorite pizzeria to date when enjoyed with friends. You won't want to miss out on this one!

No doubt one of the best New York style pizzas I have had outside of my home state, New York, and I left the NY area over 15 years ago. One look at the pizza on the counter I knew my wife and I were in for a treat. When the perfectly heated slice arrived I folded it in half and chomped down, I was in heaven. I spent the rest of the meal disappointed that I didn’t live closer to Peace Pie. Can’t wait to go back!!
