Chowderhead offers a selection of delicious soups, salads, and sandwiches in a casual setting. The restaurant is known for its variety of scratch-made chowders featuring fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Options include a classic New England clam chowder, smoked steelhead chowder, and a weekly rotating special chowder.
Beyond the chowders, Chowderhead has an array of soups, including a creamy tomato basil and a chipotle corn chowder. Their hearty salads include a chopped romaine Caesar, a chef salad with ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese, and a tortilla salad with black beans, corn, and avocado.
Great food, clean comfortable atmosphere. Service was amazing and the food was delicious. I got the corn chowder bowl and it tasted great and the seasoning was perfect. My friend got the avocado toast and it had goat cheese and seasoning that was the best I’ve had. Would recommend to anyone. The outside looks like a hole in the wall restaurant don’t be mistaken it’s a diamond in the rough!
Food was fantastic, I had a smash burger with bacon added and a bowl of clam chowder, when in Rome eh? Both were fantastic, chowder was thick, peppery, and creamy, nice pieces of clam and potato. Burger was smashed, cheesy, saucy, crispy bacon, and the right size to eat. The ac was on and it was a bit chilly for my girlfriend, but I was fine. Will be back for sure. (Also grabbed a cookie to go from the counter, really good!)
Amazing food, comfortable atmosphere and super friendly staff. Definitely recommend stopping by for the cheese steak and/or meatball sandwich! I think we just found our new lunch spot.
